Where to Stay in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania || Fish and Loaves Bed and Breakfast

When we drove up to Pennsylvania to visit one of our favorite amusement parks, Knoebels, we stayed in a tiny town in the Poconos. It’s called Catawissa and it’s home to Fish and Loaves Bed and Breakfast.

Husband and wife team, Frank and Diana, have a heart to serve the community. So they’ve opened their home as a B&B but they don’t welcome you as guests, but as a member of the family.

They’ve truly put their heart and soul into this bed and breakfast. So, if you’re looking for a down-home, welcome to the family, kind of experience in North Central Pennsylvania, fish and loaves is the spot for you. Frank and Diana will welcome you with open arms.

On the second floor there are four rooms including the three-room Mountain View Suite, but the second floor rooms do share a common bathroom. However, to make your stay more comfortable, Frank and Diana do provide bathrobes for all second floor guests during their stay.

Since the upstairs rooms do share a bathroom, this could be ideal for families with children or larger groups coming in for an event that you may be having at the Fish and Loaves center.

It’s located just out back and hosts everything from movie nights to plays and holiday parties. Contact Frank and Diana directly for more information.

When you’re not enjoying the privacy of your room, you can enjoy the many common areas Fish and Loaves has to offer. The sun porch has a ton of games you can play and brochures for activities in the area. You can also grab a movie and put it on in the great room.

We really enjoyed just sitting in the great room chatting with Frank and Diana. They have fascinating stories to tell and Foxy likes a good cuddle every once in a while.

Just beside the great room is the kitchen and dining room where you’ll enjoy a full breakfast in the morning. Frank and Diana provide sign up sheets so you can choose what you want for breakfast and when you want to eat it. We loved the convenience.

They also have tons of snacks for you to enjoy throughout the day.

We stayed in the Landscape room, which actually has its own private entrance. So we parked out back and didn’t have very far to drag our bags. An ideal situation!

The Landscape room has two queen beds and a private full bathroom.

You also have a TV, dresser, chest of drawers, a huge closet and a mini fridge. Plenty of storage.

Thank you so much to Frank and Diana for hosting us at Fish and Loaves. Your heart for what you do is inspiring to everyone who stays with you.
